Artist - Tania Babb

We are delighted to soon be showcasing a fantastic selection of work from renowned ceramic sculptress Tania Babb.

Tania was born in Zimbabwe in 1967, studied graphic design in Cape Town before becoming apprentice to Barbara Jackson. Her creative talent has been recognised with awards both locally and internationally. Her famous voluptuous fat ladies with generous thighs evolved from Tania’s love of shape, and reflect her sense of humour. Uniquely crafted from clay and skilfully painted, each fat lady seductively lures one’s imagination to ponder about her character.

Tania’s work is contemporary, quirky and energetic.

Tania’s studio is in Cape Town, where she also teaches adults and children at the Tania Babb Ceramics School.
